People Serving People (PSP) provides education, social and life skill programs to all residents in need. They house over 350 individuals and provide up to 1,000 meals every day. Their facility includes a full service kitchen and dining room, two libraries, classrooms and study areas, indoor and outdoor recreational spaces, a medical clinic, child care facilities, a laundry room, computer lab, 99 separate shelter rooms with a bath and 10 two bedroom transitional apartments. Established in 1982, People Serving People grew out of a need for temporary secure shelter. They are funded primarily through county grants and contributions.
According to Randy Zemke, fiscal manager for People Serving People: “Prior to working with OTT, Inc., our infrastructure was out of date, built internally, and lacked centralization. There were reliability issues, applications were ordered but never implemented, and data was stored locally and not backed up. Our support was sporadic, and multiple versions of Microsoft Windows/Office created training and collaboration issues. Plus, our server, virus protection, and accounting applications were out of date. Employees were not able to do their work effectively because of unstable workstations, unrecoverable data, dropped connections, slow Internet response, printer errors, and downed email. It was very inefficient, and we knew that if we were to meet the growing needs of our resident families, PSP needed to automate and integrate all aspects of our business.”

Our new system has streamlined our operations and greatly improved the integrity of our data.”
