One of the best features of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 is its ability to fulfill functions that were not designed out of the box, a concept known in the CRM community as “xRM”. One such potential function is project management. Maintaining some project-level information in CRM can be incredibly valuable, especially if you are already using CRM for service management with Cases. For any organization that engages in professional services delivery, keeping ongoing projects in CRM next to current customer service issues provides a better view of a given customer. Organizations that don’t perform projects for their customers can also benefit, as CRM could be used to track internal projects as well.

Microsoft released the final update to Dynamics GP to accommodate the change in the employee’s FICA rate. This update contains changes to the 941, as well as the electronic W-2 file.
Please note: we’ve found that this code update is corrupting the reports dictionary. The instructions that accompany the installer for the update indicate you should update your forms & reports dictionaries prior to launching GP. This is not sufficient. You also need to recreate your reports dictionary prior to processing transactions in Dynamics GP after applying the update. Instructions to recreate the reports dictionary can be found in KB #850465.
For assistance in installing this code update, please contact OTT, Inc. Tech Support at 651.262.2626, option #1, or support@ott-inc.com.
